Been there before

HERE we are again. Another Prime Minister going to do it for the little man or woman, the same little men and women who are holding this country together.

Most, no all, of us have heard it all before.

The present Prime Minister is going to redress the balance between the five per cent who have it all – money, power, position in life, born with the proverbial silver spoon in the mouth – and the 95 per cent who honestly pay income tax, National Insurance, VAT on everything we buy.

I really cannot see the Westminster elite allowing that to happen, most of the elite in this country truly believe ordinary people do not matter and shouldn’t have a say in running this country as we are not worthy – until another war or major conflict happens or another Prime Minister pokes his or her nose into another sovereign country’s issues and drags our armed forces into another 15-year campaign.

There have been 75 Prime Minsters since Sir Robert Walpole led the government from 1721-1741.

Sir Henry Cambell-Bannerman was the first Prime Minister of Great Britain. Before all you History buffs reply William Pitt the Younger was the 1st Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and since then with

Each and everyone of them put the squeeze on to the little man and woman in the street.

I will be 63 in January and in all those years never has anything ever changed, the rich get richer by finding new ways to fiddle the tax man by not paying VAT, by not paying National Insurance and always getting away with it but your little man or woman in the street if you fail to pay any of the above its off to Newgate with you.

We will always be looked down at by the elites in this country.

Stop trying to kid yourself Mrs Prime Minister, it will never change.

Big Hour Campaign

AS THE days become shorter, it’s a stark reminder that the end of another year is approaching – Hallowe’en is nearly upon us and Guy Fawkes Night is just around the corner.

For families caring for a life-threatened or terminally-ill child, these autumnal highlights can be a tough reminder that time is a luxury that cannot be taken for granted.

For these families every hour spent with their seriously ill child is precious beyond belief.

Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity provides vital support for families caring for a seriously ill child.

Every family has its own dedicated family support worker who helps to make life a little easier for the family – at home, in hospital or in the community, so that the family can make the most of the time they have together.

I have been aware of Rainbow Trust for many years and believe the work it carries out with families is outstanding.

When the clocks go back on October 30, the Rainbow Trust is calling on the public to use their extra hour wisely, by taking part in its Big Hour Campaign.

The campaign encourages people to make their extra hour count by organising a 60-minute fundraiser for the charity.

I urge everyone to get involved with this wonderful campaign so that Rainbow Trust can support more families who have to face the frightening prospect that their child might not get better.

To find out more about Rainbow Trust’s Big Hour Campaign visit rainbowtrust.org.uk/big-hour or text RAINBOW to 70111 to make a £3 donation (by donating via SMS donors agree to be contacted via SMS message by Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity).

EU withdrawal legal

ARE your readers aware that unilateral and unconditional withdrawal from the EU would be perfectly legal both under our own constitution and under international law?

The right to national self-determination is one of the first principles of international law, and with the longer-term future of the European Union looking so highly uncertain, it must be in our national interest to repeal the European Communities Act 1972 as soon as possible.

This must denounce the EU Treaty as void in law and re-affirm the validity of the English constitution as recognised in Common Law prior to 1972.

At the same time we would immediately be able to unilaterally discontinue all payments to the EU budgetBudget.

The UK would then be in a very strong position to negotiate a trade deal with the EU, or any of its member states, because they sell us far more than we sell them.

A deal with the EU would be a consequence of leaving, not a condition.
