I'M appalled to see your take on the charity ride due to take place on Mother’s Day. This ride has been advertised for months in a variety of places how can they say they didn't know! This is not a political ride, this is a ride to respect the fallen heroes fighting for this country.
These riders want to show their respect and this is the way they feel they can show this. To generalise that all bikers are 'hairy bikers' is an ignorant and prejudice and not at all true. It’s not just bikers who have beards! These people care and want to show their appreciation to all the families who have lost family members. It has been well organised and the funds raised are for charity. Since when has charity been a political tool? Wootton Bassett should be proud that they have the open and honest support of people everywhere for the repatriation duties they so proudly undertake. Or is it only pearls, tweed and green wellies welcome there?
