IT seems that since the General Election and local elections nothing has been mentioned about the disabled or elderly people who live in the borough.

People with mobility scooters, people who can’t get around and elderly people are totally ignored even when it comes to planning. May I suggest that Coun Greenhalgh ought to spend a day with the disabled. The bus companies have made it awkward when they don’t consider a small fold-up mobility scooter, which takes up as much room as a small buggy, should be considered to make life easier.

It seems the council wants to make life difficult by altering Shopmobility, we need a complete rethink by them as to where elderly people stand and more consideration for disabled people, after all they pay council tax too.
