I am so sorry to read your announcement and wish to pass on my sincere condolences to your family at this saddest of times. I was a regular Ferndale Road Post Office customer in the 1980’s, collecting the family allowance, buying stamps and cards etc. My children David and Louise Mildenhall were a similar age to your own children.

I have so many fond memories of Norman, what a kind gentleman he was, such a lovely nature. I remember Elaine too, who I believe also helped “behind the counter”. May I thank you both for serving the Ferndale community so well. You really were valued so much.

My grandmother, Alice Owen who we lost many years ago, was also a customer for many years. I shall pray for you all at this very sad time.

Sincerest wishes

Lorraine Mildenhall, on behalf of Brian, David and Louise
