JONES Jesse It is with much sadness that Yvonne, David and Ashley announce the passing of their much loved and respected Dad. Jesse, aged 98, died peacefully at the Church View Care Home on Thursday 18th February 2021. He will be greatly missed by his children, son in law Roy, daughters in law Julie and Sue, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A well-respected football referee and brass bandsman. No flowers by request but donations for Arthritis Research would be much appreciated and made via the link https://jessejones.muchloved.com Further details of service to be announced at a later date If circumstances allow a memorial concert will be held early next year. As an apprentice with BREL in the late 70's and early 80's, Jesse was our supervisor, looking after us and guiding us through the system as we learnt our various trades.
I never once heard him raise his voice to any of the hundreds of apprentices that pass through his hands, he was a good man.

Sending deepest sympathy to Jesse's family. Jesse has been my parents neighbor for as long as I can remember. My annual visits from the US were always met with a big smile, hug, and a kiss on the cheek. I will miss seeing Jesse. God speed!
