SECTION 14 - THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES AND RESTRICTIONS

Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL made the following temporary orders:

(STR000146 Body Horse Hill, Hinton Parva) This Order is being introduced for washout exchange works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Body Horse Hill opposite Coombe Cottage at the junction with City Comer. Traffic will be diverted via City Corner. The Order effective from the 27 April 2021 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 27 to 29 April 2021.

(STR000151 Marlowe Avenue, Swindon) This Order is being introduced to allow works in connection to a highways agreement and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Marlowe Avenue from its junction with Courtney Road Roundabout to its junction with Ringwood Close. Vehicles will be diverted via from Marlowe Avenue, Maitland Road, Frobisher Drive and Courtney Road. The Order is effective from the 5 April 2021 for 12 months but it is anticipated the road closure will be required from 5 April to 29 October 2021. (STR000150 Church Road, Wanborough) This Order is being introduced to allow works to the mains and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Church Road outside No 46 between The Lynchfield and Mayfield. Vehicles will be diverted via from B4192 Purley Road, Un-named road leading to Foxhill, Callas Hill and High Street. The Order is effective on 19 April 2021 for 6 months but it is anticipated the road closure will be required from the 19 to 23 April 2021. (STR000.152 Station Road, Highworth) This Order is being introduced to allow works for a new water main and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Station Road outside No 3A between A361 Westrop and Quarry Crescent. Vehicles will be diverted via St Michaels Avenue and A361 Westrop. The Order is effective from the 26 April 2021 for 6 months but it is anticipated the road closure will be required from the 26 to 30 April 2021.

(STR0D0153 Winchester Close, Swindon) This Order is being introduced to allow works for a new water main and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Winchester Close outside land next to No 12. Access would be maintained for residents. The Order effective 26 April 2021 for 6 months but it is anticipated the road closure will be required from the 26 to 30 April 2021. (STR000156 Tadpole Lane, St Andrews) This Order is being introduced to allow toucan crossing installation and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Tadpole Lane between William Morris Way and Greene Street. Traffic to be diverted via Salzgitter Drive, Thamesdown Drive, Oakhurst Way, Tadpole Lane and vice versa. The Order is effective on the 19 April 2021 for 6 months but it is expected works will take place between 19 to 20 April 2021.

(STR000166 Hay Lane, Bassett Down) This Order is being introduced to allow works on the carriageway and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on B4005 Hay Lane between Wharf Road and A361 Devizes Road. Traffic to be diverted via A361 Devizes Road, B4005 Wharf Road and vice versa. The Order effective on the 29 March 2021 for 6 months but it is anticipated the works will be carried out between 29 March and 4 April 2021. (STRDDD168 A361 Lechlade Road, Highworth) This Order is being introduced to allow works on the carriageway and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on A361 Lechlade Road between the junction with Blackworth roundabout and the A417. Traffic to be diverted via A117, A420, A419, A361 and vice versa. The Order effective from the 5 April 2021 for 6 months but it is anticipated the works will be carried out between 5 to 13 April 2021.

(STRDDD150 Westmead Drive, Swindon) This Order is being introduced to allow works associated with the Mead Way Scheme and will prohibit pedestrians/cyclist on the foot/ cycleway between Westmead Drive and Rivermead Drive. Pedestrians/Cyclist are diverted via the footpath which runs from the Mead Way Underpass towards River Ray and then turn right along the past leading to Westmead Drive. The Order will come into force on the 30 March 2021 for 12 months.
