IMPLEMENTATION OF PEDESTRIAN CROSSING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intend to introduce a toucan crossing on Queens Drive, north of the subway accessed from Donnington Grove and Kirby Close. The proposed crossing aims to promote pedestrian and cyclist movement in the area by offering an improved route by way of removing the subway which is currently not wide enough to safely accommodate both pedestrians and cyclists. Note - 'Zig Zag' markings will be installed at either side of the crossing which will prohibit stopping on the approach/exit of the crossing.
