West Berkshire District Council Under Section 14/1 Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 West Berkshire District Council (The Council) Intends To Make Orders As Following
(Bath Road, Parish Of Tilehurst And Holybrook) (Temporary 30mph Speed Restriction) Order 2022

The Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from exceeding 30MPH in any direction over Bath Road in Tilehurst and Holybrook between its junction with Greenwood Road and its junction with Old Bath Road. This is to prevent any potential danger to the public or workforce during fibre cable installation, namely for Instalcom.
The proposed Order will come into effect on Monday 13th June 2022. It is envisaged that the 30mph speed restriction will be in place between 15th June and 6th July 2022.

Order 2022

The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over the entire length of the roads listed in the Schedule below. To facilitate the works no waiting will be allowed on the roads to be closed or their diversion routes from 00:01 hours on the date of any works until their conclusion. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order will vary depending on the exact length to be closed and will be signed on site for the duration of the closure. The purpose of this Order is to enable any and all maintenance works to take place as a result of scheduled routine maintenance inspections.
The proposed Order will come into effect on Monday 20th June 2022. The exact date(s) of any closure will be advertised on site prior to the closure.

Unless stated otherwise the above orders shall remain in force for a period of eighteen months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest, they will not take effect until approved traffic signs have been erected. Final details of the closure can be viewed on One.Network
