A TEENAGER has appeared in court following the attack on Ridgeway School pupil Henry Webster.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court this morning on a charge of causing grievous bodily harm.
He was remanded in custody and the case was adjourned until Monday, when he will be brought before the youth court.
The boy was one of eight people arrested in relation to the incident, which took place as Henry was leaving school on Thursday.
Six others have been released on police bail, pending further inquiries while a seventh, aged 18, is having no further action taken against him.
Henry is currently being treated at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol where his condition is said to be comfortable.
