A MEMORIAL will be held today (April 12) to pay tribute to the 30 British tourists, including two from Corsham, that were killed in Tunisian terror attacks last year.

John Welch, 74, from Corsham, and Eileen Swannack, 73, of Biddestone, were killed in the terrorist attack on June 26 last year at Port El Kantaoui.

The couple, who had been together for eight years, were regular visitors to the beach resort of Sousse in Tunisia and died in the shooting that killed 38 people.

The service for survivors of the attacks and victims' families will take place at Westminster Abbey, where Prince Harry will lay a wreath on behalf of the Queen at the abbey's memorial to innocent victims.

Prince Harry will also perform a reading during the service, which the Dean of Westminster will conduct.
