A man who was spotted cycling naked in Devizes wearing just a tartan cap is being sought by police.


A police spokesman said: "Devizes Police are appealing for any witnesses to an incident of Outraging Public decency.


"Between 4:50pm-5:20pm on Tuesday the 13th of June a male was seen riding a bicycle naked along Quakers walk, from the direction of Roundway Gardens. Description of the suspect is, a white male in his late 20’s/early 30’s wearing only a tartan cap and dark coloured rucksack, riding a bicycle.


"Whilst we understand that temperatures this week have been high, it is obviously not acceptable to remove all clothing whilst in a public place as this constitutes the offence of outraging public decency’."


Devizes Community Policing team are investigating the incident and would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this male in the Devizes area.
