To celebrate the release of his debut album, Lighting Matches, Tom Grennan is tackling a Guinness World Record title attempt ending in Marlborough tonight.

He is aiming to scoop the title for Most Live Concerts In 12 Hours (multiple towns).

This morning Tom headed for Manchester to begin playing shows in towns with a population of at least 5,000 and less that 15,000. He will end up this evening at Sound Knowledge in Marlborough at 6.15pm.

Tom’s album is out on Insanity Records and he says it is a personal journey exploring sobriety, love, depression and loneliness.

Lighting Matches sees Tom working with Grammy award winning producer Fraser T Smith who has worked with Stormzy, Adele, Kano, Plan B.

Dan Grech who helped Liam Gallagher, Killers  and Radiohead with their productions also contributed to the album which is tipped as being one to watch for 2018.

The album features Tom's current single Barbed Wire and previous hits Sober (daytime playlists at Radio 1, Radio 2, Virgin, Absolute and Radio x) and Found What I’ve Been Looking For, which was used as the title music to Sky Sports’ Premier League coverage and has racked up over 20 million streams.

The show is free and with tickets available online now from
