A SECOND man has appeared before a court accused of robbing a Trowbridge petrol station while armed with a knife.

Bradley Walter pleaded not guilty to robbery and having a bladed article when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.

The 19-year-old will stand trial alongside Dabiel Kibblewhite, 24, who denied the same charges in April.

Walter, of Langford Road, Trowbridge, and Kibblewhite, of Castle View, Westbury, are said to have carried out the raid on March 26.

The pair are said to have made off with cash, alcohol and rolling tobacco during the alleged raid and to have had a knife on Bythesea Road.

Judge Jason Taylor QC adjourned the case to August 28, when the men will stand trial.

Kibblewhite, who appeared in court by videolink, was remanded in custody and Walters was released on conditional bail.

Police were called to the Applegreen petrol station, close to The Shires, shortly before 8am.

Staff said a young man brandishing a knife had entered the store before fleeing with the cash, booze and tobacco.

They thought he ran off in the direction of the station, dropping a bottle as he vaulted over the wall.
