TWO young girls who had liquid thrown at them from a passing car in Staverton say they now have rashes on their legs as a result.
The two 13-year-olds were walking along Blackthorn Way just before 7.30pm on Friday, when a green bottle, with clear liquid in, was thrown from a passing dark car.
The girls, who wish to remain anonymous, did not know what the liquid was but got covered in it.
They later said that they had developed rashes on their legs where the liquid had hit their skin.
Police have been in contact with the girls and their families and are now appealing for information about the incident.
PC Daniel Chaventre, from Wiltshire West Community Policing Team, said: “The girls returned home and sought medical advice, as they were starting to experience some irritation where the liquid had made contact with their skin.
“They did not require treatment, but were advised to wash any affected areas.
“We are currently investigating and would ask anyone with information to contact me on 101, quoting crime reference 54180084765.
“Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
