COURT: A pair charged after police raided an underground cannabis factory appeared before Swindon Magistrates’ Court.
Wiltshire Police say the Bradford-on-Avon drugs factory, discovered in a network of tunnels once used by Heinz to grow mushrooms, could be one of the UK’s largest ever.
Alksander Shyti, 45, and Altin Deda, 39, appeared before Swindon magistrates on Friday charged with the production of cannabis. Their case was adjourned for a translator to be found, The Sun reported.
Fine for man, 47
COURT: Skipping community service sessions earned a Park South man a £200 fine.
Neil Penforld, 47, of Whitworth Road, admitted missing two unpaid work sessions in July and pre-work placement sessions. Magistrates fined by £200 and ordered he pay £60 costs.
Drug-driving plea
COURT: A Devon man denies drug-driving.
Lewis Roberts, of Tomohun, Torquay, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of cannabis in Brinkworth in February.
Swindon magistrates bailed him for the trail on November 22.
