The WYVERN Theatre is opening its doors for a free Family Fun Day on Saturday.

From 10am till 1pm, the event will include a whole range of activities, such as character appearances, backstage tours, themed story time, live music performance, crafts, face painting and more.

You can join the cast of Pinocchio for a mini workshop, where you can learn a song from their show and enjoy to a mini performance. The 20-minute sessions is suitable for ages five and up. Prime Theatre is running Rumpelstiltskin workshops and Hansel and Gretel workshops. The workshops offer an in-role exploration of the classic fairy tales, and a chance to finish the story the way you think it should end, while learning drama skills and playing games.

These workshops will be accessible for children who are deaf or hard of hearing, so please let the Wyvern ticket office know at time of booking if your child will benefit from the use of sign language during their workshop. Tickets for the workshops should be pre-booked.

You can also join a theatre tour. The theatre's expert guides will lead you behind the curtain to explore the backstage secrets of show business. You can tread the boards and see the auditorium from the stars’ point of view. The full tour requires the use of stairs, though all are welcome and wheelchair users will enjoy an adapted version.
