A TROWBRIDGE man is appealing for help to track down a hit-and-run driver who has left him with a £1,000-plus repair bill.
Matthew Hale was turning into Delamere Road when he was hit by a vehicle, thought to be a red Ford Ka or Ford Fiesta hatchback.
He said: “The accident happened at the junction with Islington on Monday, October 8.
“The car hit mine and spun me around in the middle of the road and then drove off at full speed.
“It was dark but I noticed the other vehicle had racing stripes on the bonnet. I am hoping I can track it down.”
Mr Hale, who works for Platinum Nissan on the White Horse Business Park, drives a 2011-registered Alfa Romeo Giulietta which is his pride and joy.
He added: “The value of the damage to my car is estimated at more than £1,000.”
Anyone who can identify the driver or the vehicle involved should call 101 and inform the police.
