POLICE have warned of slippery road conditions after a crash on the M4.

A car aquaplaned into the central reservation westbound near Junction 15 before 10am and then crashed off the carriageway.

Traffic appears to be coping well and police are at the scene.

However, Wiltshire Police’s Insp Gill Hughes took to social media to warn drivers to exercise caution in the poor conditions: “There has been a large amount of rain so far and this is causing some localised flooding. Please be careful and travel accordingly.”
