A 19-year-old Trowbridge man who was wanted for failing to appear at court in relation to a drugs offence has been arrested and sentenced.

Macaulay Collins, of Longfield Road, Trowbridge, was located in Hilperton on Wednesday and arrested by officers.

He appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court today charged with possession of a Class A drug and pleaded guilty.

Collins was initially found in possession of cocaine on January 28 and was due to appear in court in June. However, he failed to attend and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

An appeal was also issued to the public asking for information on his whereabouts.

Today, he was issued with a community order, fined £140, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85 and Crown Prosecution Service costs of £85.
