THE One Show will be presented live from Royal Wootton Bassett's town hall after the show's Rickshaw Challenge team arrive there on Monday.

Matt Baker and a team of six teenagers who have been supported by Children in Need projects will finish the fourth day of their challenge in the town after completing a 56-mile journey from Hook in Hampshire.

The show hopes that residents will fill the High Street and cheer the riders on as they complete this part of the 423-mile route from Calais to Salford around 5.30pm.

Matt and his co-presenter Alex Jones will then host an edition of their primetime BBC show at the Town Hall from 7pm.

Matt said: “This is the eighth year that we’ll be heading out on the roads with the Rickshaw Challenge and I can’t wait to get back in the saddle alongside six truly inspirational young people.

“Every year the support that we get never ceases to amaze me, it’s fantastic to see how people from all across the UK get behind the challenge.

"I’m looking forward to seeing all those friendly faces willing us on again this year, and helping us to raise so much money for a charity which is incredibly close to my heart.”

Since 2011, The One Show’s Rickshaw Challenge has raised over £21 million for BBC Children in Need.
