SWINDON: Joseph McLaughlin was detained in the cells at the town’s magistrates court after he pleaded guilty to a charge of being drunk and disorderly.
The 29-year-old of no fixed address, was found at the Whalebridge car park on October 19. The bench imposed a £100 fine and £30 victim surcharge, but deemed it paid due to the time he had already spent in custody.
SWINDON: Magistrates told a man he must do 120 hours of unpaid work after he admitted carrying out an assault on another man.
Zak Carruthers, 22, of Burt Street, Wellwood, Dunfermline, was given the task as part of a 12-month community order.
He was ordered to pay £100 compensation to the victim and £170 court costs and victim surcharge.
