Hundreds of Santas could be seen running around the Lake Pleasure Ground in Warminster last Saturday morning as the town’s annual Santa run took place to raise money for charity.

Run by Warminster town council, and Fit 2 Perform Gym in Warminster, the 4km fun run around the town park was open to all ages who were placed in age categories and were able to walk, jog or run the four laps of the park.

Each runner was told to wear a Santa hat or a full Santa outfit to get into the festive spirit, and encouraged to make a donation on entry.

A total of £164 was raised and will be spilt between Fairfield College in Dilton Mash and the British Heart Foundation.

Richard Young from Fit 2 Perform Gm in Warminster said: “Unfortunately it rained but it didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of over 60 Santa’s, and some elf’s, who walked jog or ran four laps of the park.

“Well done to all who took part and thank you all for your charity donations.

“This will be split between Fairfield College and Fit 2 Performs Charity, the British Heart Foundation.”
