ORGANISERS of the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Appeal are pleased with the amount of donations that have come pouring in.
The appeal, which distributes new toys to underprivileged children across the UK at Christmas time, has many drop-off points around Wiltshire where people have been bringing their donations.
One drop-off point which has seen lots of donations is Morrisons in Warminster.
Community champion for the store, Belinda Fear, said: “The box has really filled up over the weekend, it was only half full on Friday, so that is great to see.”
Last year the Wiltshire Times and Gazette & Herald teamed up with the Salvation Army to become a gift drop-off point.
This year the drop-off points are the Salvation Army hall in Castle Street, Trowbridge, the central office in the Shires shopping centre, Tesco Extra in Trowbridge, Morrisons in Warminster and, from November 26, Morrisons in Westbury.
