A BUS shelter has been replaced, almost a year after it was destroyed in a night-time smash.
The Fleming Way shelter was hit by a Thamesdown bus in January. Despite the metal roof of the shelter piercing the front window, the driver and his passengers all managed to walk away from the crash without injury.
One bystander said at the time: “Someone could have been killed.” Jamie Brewer, 25, added: “It was a good job nobody was killed.”
Michelle Commons, 21, from Toothill, was a passenger on the bus when it crashed. “It was terrifying and a struggle to get off the bus,” she said. “The glass was everywhere.”
