SWINDON’S female entrepreneurs showcased their skills at the first ever event celebrating successful women.

More than 45 savvy businesswomen from all backgrounds and professions shared their stories, tips and advice.

The six entrepreneurs behind the Celebration of Women networking idea wanted to give talented women a support system that gave them the opportunity to develop and grow in their industries.

Claire Robinson, a sales director for a technology company, was one of the hosts of the event. She said: “I passionately believe that girls can do anything, and that together we are stronger. I have been overwhelmed by the response from businesswomen in Swindon. We welcomed 50 entrepreneurs through my front door for the event.

“I’ve received some amazing messages and demand is such that we will now look to host another event late February. It seems that women can really inspire women and that girls can do anything - but we knew that all along.”

Makeup artist Bethan Webb said: “It was amazing to be amongst so many inspiring women in one space. I can’t wait for the next event.”

“Such a great evening to network with other amazing businesswomen. Really uplifting to speak with other ladies that run their own businesses,” added Hannah Culley who runs her own cake making business.

On the night skills were showcased by the organisers as they welcomed women into Claire’s home which was designed by EB Interiors, drinks were served by Louise from Yard 93, the floral displays in the rooms were from Jody at Rosy Lea florists, and Jody Sutton Photography captured the evening whilst we networked with each other.

Organisers plan to make it a monthly meet-up. The next is in February at Yard 93 based in Old Town.
