STAFF at Thamesdown Recycling raised more than £780 for Prospect Hospice last year.

Lorry drivers, office staff, customers and others boosted the effort by £550 when they bought tickets, hoping for one of 60 prizes in a raffle.

Rosie Freeth, Sales and Marketing Manager at Thamesdown Recycling said: “Prospect hospice is our chosen charity as it is a fantastic cause. They are local, and we will probably all know someone that will require their services at some point.”

In recent years, the company has raised money numerous times to help the charity. “We have run a small charity raffle for Prospect each year. Last year, we raised £250 but this year saw the largest amount raised,” said Rosie.

Over the years they have raised £8.135.54 enough to pay for 391 hours of clinical care on the in-patient unit at the main hospice building in Wroughton.
