The lawyer who threatened to put Swindon Borough Council "through the mincer" will get his chance next week.
The public hearing of the planning appeal brought by the company Rolton Kilbride who want permission to build an energy from waste rubbish incinerator in South Marston will begin at 10am on Tuesday.
When the firm’s application for the development was turned down by the council’s planning committee last year, its barrister Anthony Crean QC threatened to “put the council through a mincer” at any appeal.
As well as representatives of the developer, there will be legal counsel representing the council and also members of the public and campaign group Stop the Keypoint Incinerator Project.
The appeal is expected to last about two working weeks from Tuesday and will be held at Steam Museum.
Anyone wishing to speak should be there at 10am on Tuesday and tell the inspector they want to be called.
