TRACK improvements between Swindon and Didcot Parkway are expected to cause headaches for rail customers this weekend.
No mainline services will call at Swindon on Saturday, January 19. Replacement bus services will serve the station instead.
The disruption is expected to last until 8.15am on Sunday morning.
Some trains between Swindon and Westbury via Melksham will not run on Saturday. And on Sunday, between 12.30am and 5am, buses will replace trains between Reading and London.
However, you will still be able to travel by train from Swindon to Cheltenham Spa.
Network Rail said the works were essential. The firm tweeted: “We’re working to renew track east of Swindon station on Saturday, January 19, to improve reliability.” They thanked customers for their patience and advised people to check timetables before they travelled.
