COUNCILLORS on Swindon Borough Council will be told about what the town's Clinical Commissioning Group are doing about access problems at five GP surgeries in town.
The authority's adults' health, care and housing overview and scrutiny committee will receive a report on measure to try and improve the performance of the surgeries which are part of the IMH group, which includes Abbey Meads, Eldene, Moredon Taw Hill and Phoenix practices.
There will also be reports from the Great Western Hospitals Trust and the Avon and Wiltshire Partnership Trust, which runs mental health services.
There will also be a report on social care commissioning which will reveal that council tax payers in the borough pay more for support for both young people and older people with learning difficulties than the national English average.
The meeting begins at 6pm on Tuesday 29 January at the civic offices in Euclid Street.
Members of the public are entitled to attend.
