Three flats could be made out of the house behind and above two shops in a historic building in Highworth's High Street.

Developer Ian Vockins has applied for planning permission form the borough council to improve both shop[ units in the listed building and divide the single dwelling into three flats.

If approved the shop front to the east of the building will have a new utility service area and new toilets for the use of customers and staff.

The shop on the western side will have its bay windows replaced with a "sash conservation window, returning the elevation to its original state, and the restoration of an iron railing frontage in line with historical records."

One flat will be created from the rear ground floor and basement and the other two will be on the first and second floors
