A SAMURAI sword was allegedly used to stab a man in the chest.
Terrence Ryan, charged with causing grievous bodily harm following the Railway Village stabbing on Thursday evening, has been remanded in custody by magistrates
The 40-year-old, of Exeter Street, appeared before Swindon Magistrates Court on Saturday morning. Wearing a grey tracksuit, Ryan spoke only to confirm his name, age and nationality.
Magistrates remanded Ryan in custody to appear before Swindon Crown Court for a plea hearing on Friday, March 15.
The stabbing victim, Lee Sparks, remains in hospital. His condition is not thought to be life threatening.
