ANTI-SOCIAL behaviour linked to moped riding youngsters is on the rise in Rodbourne Cheney, it has been claimed.
The area’s residents’ association warned of the increase in its latest newsletter.
“It largely involves youths riding mopeds in a dangerous manner,” the association wrote.
“We have also noted an increase in garage break-ins in the area. It appears thieves are looking to steal motorcycles.”
Police have stepped up patrols in a bid to tackle the burglaries and dangerous motorcycle riding, they said.
The association added: “If you see anything you feel warrants police awareness please contact Wiltshire Constabulary on 101. Alternatively, should you not wish to speak to the police direct please feel free to contact one of your three councillors.”
Residents were advised to make sure their garages were locked and secure in a bid to prevent the burglaries.
