A TIP off from a member of the public resulted in a suspected drug dealer's spending time in the cells.

Police said the report had led them to a house on County Road, where they found the 35-year-old London man skulking beside a shed in the back garden.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply. He has been released under investigation. Around £300 in cash was also recovered by detectives.

Wiltshire Police's specialist Dedicated Crime Team, which made the arrest, said the dealer was suspected of being involved in a county lines gang.

PC Simon Sanghera said: "This is a good example of how the public can help us clamp down on drug dealing in their area. In this case, suspicious activity at an address was questioned by someone who decided to alert us. As a result we managed to catch a suspect in the act.

"I would encourage anyone who spots any suspicious activity in their community to contact us - your eyes and ears could help us stop county lines drug dealing."
