Up and coming musicians Lewis Clark and the Essentials will be playing at the Pound Arts Centre on Thursday March 7, to record their next album, 'Live'.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of a this special one-off event, as Pound Arts associate artist Lewis Clark records his new album in the auditorium on his birthday.

The Essentials is a five piece ensemble, where the ambience of jazz-folk meets the excitement of soul.

The band is currently supported by the Pound Arts Centre, where Lewis is the resident musician.

They have performed on BBC Introducing when they toured with their last album, Vinyl Love, released in September 2016.

Since then they have jumped from a grass roots scene to playing larger shows including arts centres, village halls and upscale music venues.

"Our connection with Pound Arts is helping greatly in our attempt for recognition in the highly unique sound and calibre of our original material and we hope the album gives us the much needed momentum to push us further," Lewis said.
