A SWINDON woman has been shortlisted to be crowned Britain’s best bridesmaid
Vicki Kiely, 30, is one of the two finalists representing the South West at the annual competition, which rewards the effort of devoted bridesmaids.
The contest, run by hen and stag experts Red7, examined around 500 entries before selecting the 14 finalists.
Vicki was nominated by Meryl Caroll, who told Red7: “In the 18 months of planning my wedding, my now husband was diagnosed with cancer and underwent surgery and chemotherapy.
“Vicki made planning my wedding through this tough time an easy experience. She was always there, helping, encouraging and taking on any job she could, even though she lives over 100 miles away from me, nothing was too much.
“He maid of honour speech was in the form of a rap, and she planned the Harry Potter-themed hen party. I would not have been able to get through this experience without her at my side. She is the most caring and supporting person I know.”
The winning bridesmaid will receive a luxury spa weekend in London to share with a friend.
