INDEPENDENT family brewer Wadworth has raised more than £900 for the Wiltshire Community Foundation’s Surviving Winter campaign by donating a percentage of sales of its festive beer Big Baubles.

The Devizes company, a supporter of the community foundation for more than 25 years, donated 5p from every pint of its festive ale Big Baubles sold in December to the campaign, which gives grants of £300 to those in fuel poverty.

Wadworth chief executive Chris Welham, who presented £932 to the foundation, said the brewery prides itself on its community support.

Mr Welham said, “This is about giving something back to our community. and close relationship with the Wiltshire Community Foundation and believe their initiatives really support people in the area. The campaign has been helped by our customers raising some festive cheer and fundraising in the process.” Big Baubles was a new festive fixture in Wadworth’s 65 pubs.
