EMERGENCY crews were called to the Moredon area for two separate 999 incidents on Monday night.
Police, including two armed response units, were sent to a social housing block on Moredon Road at around 8pm over concerns for the welfare of an individual.
"Officers carried out enquiries and the individual concerned was deemed safe and well at the scene," a Wiltshire Police spokesman said.
Separately, at around 7.40pm fire crews from Swindon and Westlea fire stations were sent to the area after a 999 call.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said someone had accidentally set fire to a chopping board.
The firefighters had left by around 9.30pm.
No one is thought to have been injured in the incident.
