FOLK songs and film soundtracks filled another day of the Swindon Music Festival.

Choirs and soloists impressed judges and adjudicator Yvonne Patrick who hailed the day as being full of singing of the highest standard.

Olivia Pungitore won the Lynn Hawkins Trophy for winning songs from shows and films in the nine and 10-year-old category while Kody Bowler won the Esme Weight Trophy for winning in the 13 and 14-year-old category.

Katie Terret won the Don Morse Memorial Trophy for high marks in the song in foreign language category. Rosi Pell won the Jack Marcer Trophy for best girls' solo, Bella Musica won the AJ May Trophy for best junior choir aged 11 and under, and Bella Voci won the W J Davis Challenge Cup for excelling in the senior choirs over 18 category.

David Higgins wowed with his Gilbert and Sullivan songs and received the Iris Bradbury Trophy,

In the girls' folk song categories, Matilda Blake won the Hardwick Family Trophy in the 10/11-year-old range, Bethany Rouse won the Cuckoo Trophy in the 12/13 range, and Elsie Chisnall won the Sarah Jefferies Trophy in the 14, 15 and 16 age range.

Cathy Gibbs and Stephen Brooke won the Pitt Family Trophy for their performances in the song for voice and instrument category.

Finally, Jill Carter McCrae received the George Snook Trophy for her efforts in the songs from shows and films' age 26 and over category.
