HOMELESS charity Breakthrough Trowbridge will be holding a sponsored sleepout to raise money to help them purchase a building to act as a base for food, drink and weekly get togethers.
The charity is looking for members of the public to take part in its fourth sponsored sleepout in Trowbridge town centre on April 26, supported by Trowbridge Lions Club and the Salvation Army.
Centre manager at Breakthrough Trowbridge Revd Barrie Dearlove said: “Please join us to help to raise funds and make other people aware of the scandal of homelessness in our County Town of Trowbridge and surrounding area. Try to imagine having no choice but to have to do this every night of your life, it’s the 21st century and still happening, it’s become a shameful thing for our country.”
