A THIEF stole a woman's bank card and withdrew £250 from her account.

The man went into Sainsbury's in Royal Wootton Bassett between 2.10pm and 2.20pm on March 20 and watched a customer paying for her shopping with a chip and pin device.

He then followed her to the car park and distracted her by saying that she'd dropped some money.

While giving her money she'd allegedly dropped on the floor, he stole her bank card without her noticing, went to an ATM and used the card and the PIN he'd seen her use earlier to take out money.

Police are appealing for information and released CCTV of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the theft.

Anyone who recognises the man pictured or who has any other information which could help police should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
