DETECTIVES want to hear from a hi-viz jacket wearer who they believe may have witnessed a sexual assault.
A teenage girl, 14, was assaulted at around 9.30pm on Thursday, April 18, near Dorcan Way, behind Conway Road.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has since been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.The suspect and the victim are known to each other, police said.
Appealing for witnesses, Det Con Jason Walsh of Swindon CID said: “We believe a man, wearing a hi-visibility jacket, cycled past the area at the time of the incident and we are really keen to speak to him.
"If you think this may have been you, or you know who it may have been, please contact police immediately. This person could have information which could be crucial to our investigation."
