FILM fans could be enjoying movies at Marlborough's very own cinema from Christmas, after owners of The Parade Cinema confirmed £1.5m had been raised for the project.
The cinema, in the former Methodist Church in The Parade will have 120 seats and include a bar area to watch new releases and old classics.
Owners have now bought the property next door, The Manse, to the church and hope to get planning permission to turn that into a cafe area and say they are delighted with the community support received for the project.
Planning permission for the cinema was granted in April 2018.
