TRUSTEES of the Emergency Services Show have announced there will be no event in 2019.
The annual event is organised by volunteers from the emergency services and has grown since it began in Wiltshire in 2005 to raise over £150k for charity.
However, unless the team find an alternative venue to host this year’s event it will be put off until 2020.
Previous shows were held at Cotswold Airport which has been ruled out due to increased costs and traffic management issues.
A statement said: “Unfortunately, we have been unable to secure a suitable and affordable site for the Show this year. As a registered charity, we have to balance land size, logistics and safety alongside affordability, whilst seeking to keep the Show within Wiltshire. Despite our best efforts, time has beaten us for 2019 but we are still actively seeking a new home for 2020.”
If anyone who can offer a potential site, with land large enough to accommodate the Show and good road access, the trustees can be contacted via www.emergencyservicesshow.com.
