A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of trying car door handles.
The incident occurred yesterday night in Stratton while officers were patrolling in the area.
The 37-year-old man from Swindon is currently in custody at Gablecross Police Station.
A spokeswoman for Wiltshire Police said: “CPT Team 1 have been out patrolling the streets and located a male in the Stratton area of Swindon who was reportedly trying car door handles on people’s driveways.
"Please ensure you secure your vehicles over night to prevent opportunist using the darkness to take what's yours."
