FOLLOWING a sweep of the area on Monday May 20, a man arrested on the A4 near Chippenham has been charged with a number of offences relating to drugs and weapons.
Santiljano Dalti, aged 24, of Meadlands, Corston, has been charged with the following offences:
Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (cocaine)
Possession of a class B drug (cannabis)
Possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid/gas/electrical incapacitation device/thing
Possession of a prohibited weapon (disguised firearm)
Possession of an offensive weapon in a public place
Acquire/use/possess criminal property
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court today.
PC Timothy Stevens, of the Crime Targeting Team, said: “I’m pleased that we have been able to obtain charges quickly in relation to this case.
“Drug supply blights communities and ruins lives – I am thankful to the community who raised concerns in relation to this case which led to his arrest.
“If you have information about drug supply in your community I would urge you to report it on 101, all information is treated with the utmost discretion.”
