COMEDY fans were disappointed last night when Ed Byrne failed to show at a gig at Devizes Corn Exchange, one of the top events of the Devizes Arts Festival.
The comedian broke down on the M25 and didn't make it to the gig.
"This gig was our big shiny thing and we were sold out, so it wasn't ideal," said Gail Foster, one of the team who are running the two-week festival.
"However the support acts, Chris Stokes and David Hadingham, were brilliant and did two sets for us.
"In the end it was a great night and the audience took it all in good humour."
Ed Byrne fans will get another chance to see the TV favourite in Wiltshire, as he is due to appear at Trowbridge Civic in September, and then in Swindon in March.
