MONEY has been raised in memory of the legendary Dickie Deejay who made weekend nights in Devizes something to remember.
Dickie, real name Richard Stacey, died in December aged 62 but he is not forgotten by generations of fans who gyrated to his music until the early hours at The Crown.
His friend Jim Lynch, who runs the pub, held a tribute evening to say goodbye in a fashion he would have enjoyed and raised £1,000.
It will be split between Julia's House, Dorothy House, Cancer Research UK and Three Ways special school in Bath.
Joining Mr Lynch were other close friends including Paul Copp, Holly Stone, Gordon Adamson, Lee Stone, Aaron Taylor and Gary Johnson.
Mr Lynch said: "We wanted to give him the send-off he deserved and say goodbye in the way he would have wanted. It was a true success, bringing all the old faces of The Crown Family back together again."
