A 14-YEAR-old Matravers School pupil has been invited to take part in the Junior Miss English Rose competition at the end of September.

Annie Bell, 14, will travel to Southport with her mum, Alison, for the finals on September 28 and 29.

She was recently a finalist in the Junior Miss British Isles modelling competition for girls aged 11-15 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Chester.

Annie, a pupil at Matravers School, is competing as Junior Miss Westbury in the final, which is run in association with the modelling industry watchdog ALBA.

Annie, of Primmers Place, Westbury, said: "It's very exciting to get through to another final. I was not expecting it.

"The finals in Chester were my first time in this kind of competition and I'm looking forward to doing it again."

Alison Bell said: “It's just a fun day out for the girls. It's all very natural and they are asked not to wear heavy make-up or false eyelashes."

Annie loves singing, dance and musical theatre and is a member Just So Dance in Westbury and the Pauline Quirke Academy in Bath.

She has been dancing since she was about five years old and sings in open mic sessions at the Arc Theatre in Trowbridge.

Annie was invited to take part in Junior Miss British Isles after being scouted via Instagram.

She is signed up for modelling and casting contracts through the London agency, Signature.
