Climate change protesters were outside the Conservative office in Devizes this morning.

The Extinction Rebellion group was taking its message to Claire Perry following a talk on Wednesday evening at Wesley Hall in Marlborough.

A spokesman for Extinction Rebellion Devizes and Marlborough said: "We marched through Devizes to deliver messages to Claire Perry's office this morning. This Government needs to do more to protect its people from the climate chaos headed our way."

The group Wednesday's meeting to tell local people to learn more about the climate crisis.

The talk, titled 'Climate Change: Heading for Extinction (and What to Do About it)', is the local Extinction Rebellion group's latest initiative, following last month's slow march along Marlborough High Street and its support for the school strike with St John’s Academy students at the town hall.

Co-ordinator for the group, Gill Goode, said: “The talk not only explained the facts behind the climate science, it, just as importantly, suggests ways in which we can work through any feelings of frustration, sadness and anger that we might have and turn them into positive action,"
