A TROWBRIDGE man has denied pushing his girlfriend out of bed, then grabbing her 18-year-old daughter by the wrists.
Charlie Jackson, 23, appeared before Swindon Magistrates’ Court charged with two counts of assault by beating, spitting in a police custody van and smashing his girlfriend’s Samsung tablet.
It is said he caused his girlfriend of seven months to fall out of bed onto knives, then grabbed the woman’s daughter by the wrists when she came into the bedroom after hearing the commotion in the incident on Friday (June 21).
The Newtown man pleaded not guilty to the charges, although he admitted a fifth charge of cannabis possession.
He was bailed to appear before Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on September 12 for trial, on condition he does not go to Summerleaze, Trowbridge, or contact his alleged victims.
